Man charged with attempted murder

A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over the stabbing of a 45-year-old woman in Essex.

Police called to an address in Jaywick in the early hours of Sunday morning found a woman with stab wounds.

Jim Lee of Meadow Way, Jaywick, was charged with attempted murder and has been remanded in custody at Clacton police station.

He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, a police spokesman said.
