Arrest after fatal street attack

Mr Barritt was attacked outside a shop in Walton in Essex

Murder inquiry detectives investigating the death of a teenager in a street attack in Essex have arrested a 22-year-old man.

Dominic Barritt, 18, from Clacton, died after suffering a serious head injury in the High Street, Walton, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police said a post-mortem examination was due to take place.

An Essex Police spokesman said a man from east London had been arrested in connection with the death.

Essex Police have been studying CCTV images in connection with the case.
