Men arrested after robbery bailed

Two men from Cambridgeshire, arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Essex, have been released on bail.

A large sum of money was taken from the Natwest bank in Market Place, Saffron Walden, by men brandishing what was thought to be a handgun on Friday.

Essex Police believe the robbery was planned and have appealed for anyone who saw anything suspicious prior to the robbery to contact them.

The two men, aged 21 and 25, have been released on police bail until December.
